The Woodlea Watermocs are looking for an assistant swim
coach.
Send inquiries to John Rowell at john@opsource.net. The Woodlea Watermocs will be hosting their final suit fitting and gear swap this Sunday, May 6th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in the clubhouse. Representatives from the team will be available to answer any questions from prospective swimmers. Registration is ongoing. The Woodlea Watermocs swim team is hosting on large swim meet this Wednesday, July 20th from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Woodlea Manor pool. Expect increased traffic and parking on the main roads. There will be six teams participating in this event, so it is three times larger than a normal swim meet. Thanks in advance for your patience.
The WaterMocs are having a fundraiser at Cold Stone Creamery (1013 Edwards Ferry Road) tomorrow Tuesday, June 21st from 5-7pm. Woodlea Swim Team ICE CREAM SOCIAL and Tie Dye – Friday, June 10 from 4:30-6:30pm by Clubhouse. Saturday Away Meets: Be ready to warm-up by 7:30 am. Meet begins at 8 am. Saturday Home Meets: Be ready to warm-up by 7:10 am. Meet begins at 8 am. Wednesday Home Meets: Be ready to warm-up by 5:10 pm. Meet begins at 6 pm. Wednesday Away Meets: Be ready to warm-up by 5:30 pm. Meet begins at 6 pm. As we get ready for the season we wanted to inform you of an Asst Coach position that is now open for application. We’ll be interviewing over the next few weeks and making a decision in early June. If you know someone who is interested, and meets the requirements below, please have them send an email to John Rowell (john.rowell@gmail.com). We’ll follow up with next steps and an interview time. Asst Coach Requirements - 1. 18+ years of age 2. 4+ years of club and/or rec swimming experience 3. CPR/First Aid certification (this can be achieved after decision but is a mandatory requirement) We’ll continue to have our Jr. Asst Coach and Mentor Coach positions available as well. Expect to see more on that early next week. |
