- Addition of sibling discount - first child pays full fee but each additional child gets a $15 discount.
- Travel player candidates can register directly into travel league by grade. If you don’t make the team, we’ll move you to the appropriate House league.
- More choices for volunteering, and better tracking of who fulfills their volunteer requirements. The $30 volunteer opt out charge remains.

Woodlea Watermocs - Welcome 2009 - It’s Swim Team Time

All,

The Woodlea Watermocs are excited to start the 2009 swim season.  This year we have many exciting new options.   Please take a quick read through this mail.  It will give you some important information about the season, improvements we’ve made to registration and some new opportunities for coaching (at the end).

We kick off the swim season this year with a meet against our neighbors, the Greenway Gators.  We’re hoping to make an annual event.

Look forward to seeing everyone at the pool.

ONLINE REGISTRATION
Online registration begins today.  If you are a returning swim family, you will receive another e-mail with your login id, a password and the website link.

We encourage you to pass this note along to other families that didn’t swim last year that may be interested in participating on swim team this summer. Just click on the swim team link on the Woodlea Manor website to access online registration. You can also go directly to the Watermocs Team Site by selecting:

Outside Neighborhood Swim Team Members
This year we are excited to offer a limited number of team openings to swimmers that may not live in Woodlea for an additional fee of $25 per child.   Please forward this note to any families that may have left the neighborhood or are just looking for a swim team this summer.  Space is limited and the slots are first come, first served.

JOIN US at the WOODLEA MANOR CLUBHOUSE
We will have swimsuit fittings on April 26, 2009 from 4-6pm at the Woodlea Manor Clubhouse.  We have a new suit vendor, but the new suit is very close to last year’s swim suit. You do not need to purchase a new suit if last year’s still fits..

Pull out those old fins and bring them to the clubhouse! We will host a fin/suit swap/sale at the same time. Coach Kirsten is requesting that our young swimmers (7 & under) have a pair of fins. Optional for everyone else.

Have you lost your magnet or swim cap? We’ll have those available too.

Get creative! We will again have the t-shirt slogan contest.  Bring your ideas and vote for the best. The slogan with the most votes will appear on the back of our team t-shirts.

COACHING OPPORTUNTIES
We are excited to provide your swimmer with an opportunity to improve his/her leadership skills as well as swimming skills.  This year we will accept two high school age junior/senior swimmers as junior assistant coaches, and up to four middle school age and up swimmers as swim mentors.  You can find more information and the applications on the “Documents” tab of our new team website.

Should you have any questions, please contact any of the board members.  We hope you will become as excited about swim team as we are!

GO WATERMOCS!
