Loudoun Free Clinic Charity Race

Below you will find the link for the flyer for a local charity race coming up in September.  This race is a Duathlon and includes a 450 yard swim and a 5K run.  All proceeds benefit The Loudoun Free Clinic, a local non-profit agency that provides free health care services to low income, uninsured Loudoun residents.  There are several families in Woodlea who are proud to work with the clinic as volunteers and staff.
The date of the race is September 26, 2010.
There are so many active families in Woodlea who would enjoy a race like this, one where all members of the family can participate.  Plus it is for a great cause.

URGENT REMINDER- Tennis Court HOA Rule

[Reposted]
Dear Woodlea HOA Members,
Recently the tennis courts have been damaged due to young adolescents playing on the courts with a white soccer ball. BoT members witnessed this play during a meeting and asked the young adolescents to stop this play on the courts. We suggested the soccer field is available nearby. The next evening the young adolescents were back playing soccer on the Tennis courts. The tennis courts are to be used for TENNIS ONLY. All other activities are prohibited on the courts.
Last year, our HOA community spent $9K to resurface the courts and purchase new nets, but unfortunately, the surface and nets are now damaged. These courts are for Woodlea Residents ONLY. The Leesburg Police and the BOT will be checking on these courts to make sure the rules are being followed.
The BoT encourages you all to please read and review the tennis court rules with your children, teens, and college students. They will be reinforced by the Leesburg Police and the BOT.
General Guidelines
  1. Play is available on a first come, first served basis unless reservations have been made on the reservation sheets posted at the courts.
  2. Each resident or member may use the courts for a maximum of 2 hours at a time.
  3. Monday – Friday from 5 PM until dusk, children (ages 16 and under) may only play with an adult member or when no adult members are waiting to use the courts.
  4. One player must display proof of residency or membership by using the clips attached to the fence. The ID must remain on display during play. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  5. Court #1 is closest to the gazebo. Court #2 is furthest from the gazebo.
  6. Tennis courts are to be USED FOR TENNIS ONLY. All other activities are prohibited on the courts.
  7. PETS ARE NOTE ARE NOT PERMITTED on the tennis courts at any time.
