Lock, Take, Hide, or Lose!
Leesburg Police Department Reminder to secure your vehicle and valuables.
The Leesburg Police Department is currently investigating a series of theft related incidents involving vehicles in the area of Gateway DR SE and Harrison ST SE.
On Wednesday, April 21, 2010 officers received reports that 9 vehicles parked in the area overnight had been entered and valuables taken from 3 of them. All of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of the incident.
The Leesburg Police Department would like to remind everyone to Lock, Take, Hide, or Lose!
Lock you car and secure the windows- Always!
Take your keys and unsecured valuables from your car.
Hide any valuables from view preferably by placing them in a secured glove box or trunk.
Larcenies from vehicles are crimes of opportunity and easily prevented by following these steps.
